Does this come with the rough in valve?
According to Moen the "T" stands for trim only. This would not come with a rough in valve.

I have this unit to replace the existing - unfortunately I am perplexed as to if there is a solution to mounting the the spout on to the existing pipe = which is 1/2 inch threaded and the new spout is a slip-on style. Please advise asap - thank you.
The best fix for this would be to unscrew the pipe nipple and take it to a plumber and have him solder a piece of 1/2" copper tube to a copper male adapter.  You should also take the spout with you so the plumber would know the proper length to make the copper tube.
